Established in 1976 and based in
Leicestershire, George Beale Motorcycles is a custom driven, global business focusing on the supply and management of all requirements for Classic Motorcycle Racing. The world's most experienced organisation for Matchless, Benelli, AJS and other famous marques.
Here is a brief history of George's career:
1971 - Bought first 7R and began manufacturing parts for AJS 7R and Matchless G50
1973 - Became sponsor.
1978 - Began Sponsoring Grand Prix races.
1980 - Biggest private racing team in Europe, riders Roger Marshall, Mick Grant, Jeff Sayle, Graeme McGregor.
1984 - Achieved ambition by winning two races in the Isle of Man TT.
1984 - Finished GP sponsoring.
1981 - British team manager for AGV Nations Cup, Italy,England, following on from 1980.
1986 - Purchased almost all the factory Suzuki racing bikes, ridden by Barry Sheene,
Randy Mamola, Mike Grant and Graham Crosby.
1988 - Continued manufacturing parts for AJS 7R and Matchless G50.
1989 - Built up restoration business for all types of classic motorcycle.
1991 - Built first complete motorcycles AJS 7R and Matchless G50.
1992 - George Beale machines won the classic 60's and 500 premier with Steve
Mathews riding
1992 - The Barber Vintage Motorsport Team won the American Classic Championship
several times from this year, using George Beale G50's.
1995 - Began production of the replica 1969 Benelli 4cylinder 350cc and 500cc.
1998 - Started the International Classic Association for racing pre '73 bikes and
replicas.
1999 - This was the seventh year in succession that a George Beale standard Matchless G50 won the Classic 60's race at Daytona, in the hands of Steve Mathews of the Barber
Vintage Motorsport Team.
