1967 Husqvarna Viking 360

Engine and frame number  67-1393

This motorcycle was used by Bud Ekins to win a gold medal in the 1967 Polish International Six Days Trial.

After the event it was presented to Bud Ekins and shipped to his address in California on 21-11-1967

Restoration took place in 2011 when it was purchased by an English collector.

Full provenance with letters from the factory, certificates and a photograph of Bud with the US team are included.

Bud was a very successful rider in the 50’s and 60’s and with his friend Steve McQueen represented USA in the ISDT in 1964 and 1965.

Later he achieved fame as a professional stunt rider. His classic films included ‘The Great Escape‘ and Bullitt. He was the rider who doubled for Steve McQueen whilst filming The Great Escape and performed the jump over barbed wire which is considered to be the most famous motorcycle stunt ever .
